This study explores the concept of the balance of power in military strategy through a comparative analysis of the Prophetic era and the contemporary international system. The research examines how military, political, economic, and diplomatic factors contributed to maintaining stability and security during the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and how similar principles continue to shape modern strategic thought. In the Prophetic era, the balance of power was achieved through a combination of strategic alliances, intelligence gathering, defensive preparedness, conflict management, and ethical conduct in warfare. These measures enabled the Muslim community to survive external threats and establish a stable socio-political order despite limited resources. The study further analyzes contemporary military doctrines, where states seek to preserve national interests and regional stability through military capabilities, alliances, deterrence policies, and technological superiority. By comparing the two contexts, the research identifies both similarities and differences in strategic approaches. While modern military strategies are often influenced by geopolitical competition and advanced weapon systems, the Prophetic model emphasizes moral responsibility, justice, and the protection of human dignity alongside security objectives.Using a qualitative and analytical methodology, this study highlights the relevance of Prophetic strategic principles for addressing contemporary security challenges. The findings suggest that a sustainable balance of power requires not only military strength but also ethical leadership, diplomacy, and social cohesion. The research contributes to the broader discourse on military strategy by demonstrating how historical Islamic experiences can provide valuable insights for modern security studies and conflict resolution.
