This study examines the role and responsibilities of teachers and educational institutions in child upbringing and personality development from a Shariah and research-based perspective. Education is not merely a process of transmitting knowledge; it is a comprehensive system that shapes the moral, intellectual, social, and emotional dimensions of a child's personality. In Islamic teachings, teachers are regarded as guides and role models who contribute significantly to the character formation and ethical development of students. Similarly, educational institutions serve as structured environments where values, discipline, and social responsibility are cultivated alongside academic learning. The study explores the principles of child development derived from the Qur’an, Sunnah, and classical Islamic scholarship, highlighting the importance of moral education, compassion, justice, and positive role modeling. It further analyzes contemporary educational research on personality development, which emphasizes the influence of teachers, school culture, and learning environments on students’ behavior, self-confidence, and social skills. Through a qualitative and analytical approach, the research compares Islamic educational principles with modern pedagogical theories to identify common foundations and practical applications. The findings indicate that effective personality development requires collaboration between teachers, educational institutions, parents, and society. Teachers must demonstrate professional competence and moral integrity, while educational institutions should provide an environment that promotes ethical values, critical thinking, and emotional well-being. The study concludes that integrating Islamic principles with contemporary educational practices can contribute to the holistic development of children and prepare them to become responsible, productive, and morally conscious members of society.
