An Analytical Study of the Selected Exegetical Insights and Distinctive Features of Maulana Sher Bahadur's Pashto Audio Tafsir: In the Light of Surah Aal-e-Imran

Abstract

Among the scholars delivering Qur'anic exegesis in Pashto in Kohat District, Maulana Sher Bahadur's Tafsīr holds a distinguished position for its scholarly approach and lasting educational impact. For many years, it has benefited scholars, students, and the general public, particularly in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This study aims to document his audio Tafsīr and examine its major exegetical themes, Qur'anic introduction (Muqaddimat al-Qur'an), technical terminology, and distinctive methodological features. The research seeks to preserve this valuable scholarly contribution and highlight the characteristics that distinguish it from other contemporary Pashto Tafsīr works.
