Abstract

The Muslim Ummah has always needed unity across the world, including Pakistan. However, the importance and urgency of this unity became particularly evident during periods when colonial powers and anti-Islamic forces repeatedly displayed prejudice, narrow-mindedness, and hostility toward Muslim interests. The international community has often been criticized for prioritizing its own strategic and political interests. On numerous occasions, issues concerning the Muslim Ummah have failed to receive an equitable response from major non-Muslim powers. Sociologists argue that individual attitudes and behaviors are reflections of broader societal attitudes and patterns. In this sense, the collective character of a society can be understood by examining the attitudes, behaviors, and moral dispositions of its individual members. The future of any society ultimately depends on the character of its individual members, for the collective character of society is formed through the cumulative attitudes, values, and actions of individuals. National integrity and Muslim unity, therefore, cannot be achieved solely through governmental institutions or collective declarations; they require responsible, conscious, and morally committed individuals. Against this backdrop, the present research article examines the significance of individual character and responsibilities in strengthening national integrity and promoting Muslim unity.
