Abstract

Hadith has a great importance and role in the basic source of Islam. The six important and basic books of hadith are called the Sihah Sitta. Two of these six books are Sahih-ul-Bukhari and Jame-ul-Tirmizi. Hadiths are divided into different chapters in these books so that the understanding of the issues can be made easier. These chapters also contain chapters on clothing. Clothing is a basic human need, so the religious rules related it have great importance. The chapters on clothing of these two books contain sufficient detail in terms of issues. Some chapters are common to both and many are different. If we consider the comparison of these two books, Sahih-ul-Bukhari has superiority over Jame-ul-Tirmizi in terms of the number of chapters, the number of Hadiths and the explanation of issues. Similarly, if we look at the strength and weakness of the narrations, it is realized that all the narrations of Sahih-ul-Bukhari are correct. There is no objection to any of these narrations, while some of Jame-ul-Tirmizi's narrations are incorrect.
