Pashto and Pahlavi are two ancient languages that have been in use for thousands of years, with their speakers historically residing in close geographical proximity. Both languages belong to the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-Iranian language family, which accounts for the significant linguistic similarities between them. These similarities can be observed in vocabulary, semantics, and grammatical structures. This article presents a comparative study of Pashto and Pahlavi, focusing on phonetic, semantic, and syntactic aspects. Through detailed analysis, it has been established that Pashto and Pahlavi share a deep and close linguistic relationship. The research clearly demonstrates that the linguistic ties between the two languages are not only historical but also structurally strong and profound.
