Abstract

The upbringing of children is a multidimensional responsibility that directly impacts the progress of individuals, families, and nations. In the modern era, technology has become an inseparable part of life, significantly influencing education, behavior, and social development. This research-based analytical study explores the positive and balanced use of technology in child upbringing, with a focus on parental guidance, challenges, and practical solutions. It emphasizes that technology, when wisely used, can serve as a powerful tool for intellectual, moral, and social growth, while its misuse can lead to serious consequences such as addiction, isolation, and ethical decline. The paper highlights the dual nature of technology as both an opportunity and a threat. The study draws upon Islamic principles, particularly the guidance found in the Qur’an and Hadith, which urge parents to provide holistic training to their children, encompassing moral, spiritual, intellectual, and physical aspects. It also discusses practical tools such as parental control applications, educational platforms, and digital content filtering that can support parents in monitoring and guiding their children’s use of technology. Furthermore, it argues that technology should be integrated into child training with moderation, ensuring that it complements religious and moral education rather than replacing it. The research concludes by proposing that a balanced framework is essential for utilizing technology as a means of building responsible, ethical, and intellectually vibrant future generations.
