Abstract

This study delves into Ahkam-e-Zakat and charity (laws of obligatory almsgiving) in Islam, examining its theological, legal, and societal dimensions. It explores the significant contributions of the Prophet's Companions, known as Asar-e-Sahaba, in promoting and practicing Zakat. Through an analysis of primary Islamic sources, including the Quran, Hadith, and scholarly works, this research elucidates the principles, calculations, and recipients of Zakat. Furthermore, it investigates the exemplary conduct and teachings of the Companions regarding Zakat, highlighting their role in fostering social justice and economic equity. By unraveling the enduring legacy of the Companions on Islamic almsgiving, this study enriches our understanding of Zakat's spiritual significance and practical implications in contemporary society.
