This research, titled “Obstacles to Islamic Child Upbringing in the Contemporary Era and Their Solutions”, examines the intellectual, familial, social, and psychological challenges facing Muslim .parents today. The Qur’an and Sunnah emphasize the process of effective parenting. The study demonstrates that Islamic principles remain timeless and compatible with modern psychological findings. The Qur’an promotes wise counsel, gradual teaching, love, and righteous companionship. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ modeled respectful dialogue, trust-building, and compassion toward children. Contemporary research confirms that a secure home environment .emotional support, and parental role modeling are essential for healthy character formation. The research recommends that Muslim parents foster a Qur’an- and Sunnah-centered family atmosphere, regulate social media use, encourage open communication, and strengthen confidence in children. Schools should integrate Islamic character-building into curricula and collaborate closely with parents. At the community level, mosques, family counseling programs, and ethical media content can reinforce positive parenting. By harmonizing Islamic guidance with modern duty of parents to safeguard their children’s faith, morals, and character. However, rapid technological change, negative media influence, Western ideological pressures, weakening family bonds, parental busyness, and uncontrolled social media use have complicated the psychological insights, Muslim families can raise balanced, faithful, and socially responsible generations.
