This research explores the principles of trade and partnership practiced during the blessed life of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), emphasizing their relevance to contemporary Islamic economic ethics. The study analyzes prophetic traditions, historical records, and classical Islamic jurisprudence to identify ethical foundations such as honesty, transparency, justice, and mutual consent in business dealings. By examining examples from the Prophet’s personal trading experiences and his partnerships—such as those with Khadijah (RA) and the companions—the research highlights how moral integrity and social welfare were central to economic activities in early Islamic society. The paper also compares these prophetic models with modern business ethics, demonstrating how the Prophet’s approach offers practical guidance for today’s Muslim entrepreneurs and organizations. The findings reaffirm that Islamic trade ethics are not merely ritualistic but a comprehensive framework for achieving both spiritual and economic balance.
