Evolution of Mohadithana Seerah Writings and the Role of pir Mehr Ali shah Sahib (RA )

Abstract

This is evident that the modren era has seen new aspects and dimensions of Seerat wiriting. Seerat literature has scholarly, historical, social and international significance. It is not just a biography of a significant personality but it incorporates histroy of the beginning and evolution of Divine Messag- Al – Quran . It is mentioned in Al - Quran as Uswa e Hasna. All the mohadithin , illustrators , historians and seerat writers has mentioned it in their works. Mohadithisin has tried to clarify doubts whatsoever about the seerat while shaping this new branch of knowledg. As seerat is directly related to Hazrat Muhammad (pbum) therefore Mohadithin wrote about it prudently. These efforts of theirs are proportionate to the efforts of collecting hadith itself. Which means the seerat literature  has been derived from Hadith. It also established the principals of history as well. As methodolgy adopted by mohadithin was seerat based in style, therefore they relatedto Hazrat Muhammad (pbum) authentic words and incidents, which is obvious in their books under Seerat headings.
