Abstract

Stating history is not necessary for a travelogue, but it is certainly an important component in increasing its significance. Since Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Awan was an intellectual personality, he had a deep interest in history and civilization. On this basis, we also find descriptions of history in his travelogues. In his travelogues, one finds mentions of the history of America, Turkey, Britain, Europe, and India, along with historical places and buildings. The reader does not get bored while reading historical accounts because Zahoor Ahmad Awan’s style is charming. Mentions of various civilizations are also present as needed.
