This study examines the impact of Western lifestyles on the Muslim family system through a Shariah-based and research-oriented analysis. The family is the fundamental unit of society and occupies a central position in Islamic teachings. Islam establishes a comprehensive framework for family life based on faith, mutual rights and responsibilities, moral values, and social harmony. However, globalization, modernization, media influence, and cultural exchange have facilitated the spread of Western social norms and lifestyles into many Muslim societies, leading to significant changes in family structures, relationships, and value systems. The study explores key areas of influence, including individualism, changing gender roles, delayed marriages, declining family cohesion, rising divorce rates, and evolving attitudes toward parental authority and social responsibilities. It analyzes these developments in light of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and classical Islamic scholarship while also incorporating findings from contemporary social and family studies. Through a qualitative and analytical methodology, the research evaluates both the positive and negative dimensions of Western influence on Muslim families. While certain aspects such as educational advancement, professional opportunities, and awareness of individual rights have contributed to social development, other trends have challenged traditional family values and weakened collective responsibility. The findings suggest that preserving the stability of the Muslim family system requires a balanced approach that benefits from constructive aspects of modernity while remaining firmly grounded in Islamic principles. The study concludes that strengthening religious education, family values, and social awareness is essential for protecting family cohesion and ensuring the healthy development of future generations in an increasingly globalized world.
