This article explores the fundamental principles of international relations in the light of the Quran and Sunnah. Islam presents a comprehensive framework for relations among nations based on justice, peace, mutual respect, human dignity, and cooperation. The study examines key Quranic teachings and Prophetic practices that govern interactions between states and communities, emphasizing the values of treaty observance, peaceful coexistence, protection of human rights and conflict resolution through dialogue. It also highlights the ethical dimensions of warfare in Islam, where the use of force is permitted only under exceptional circumstances and within strict moral limits. By analyzing relevant verses of the Quran and authentic traditions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, this research demonstrates that Islamic teachings provide a balanced and practical approach to international relations. The study further argues that these principles remain relevant for addressing contemporary global challenges and promoting peace, justice, and cooperation in the modern international system.
