This study investigates the impact of WLC, SMR, and PP on CPI with CT as a mediator and PC as a moderator between the trust–intention relationship within the online retailing sector in Pakistan. A PLS-SEM was estimated based on survey data collected from 350 online consumers. Each direct, indirect and interaction effect was significant. Consumer trust is found to be the most proximal driver of CPI, and privacy concerns enhance the trust–intention pathway. The model accounts for 54.0% of the variance in CPI, providing theoretical and managerial perspective on trust-based, privacy-sensitive retail relationship in emerging markets.
