In this research paper the researcher will examine Islamic concepts and methods of emotional regulation through the lens of the blessed Sirah (life and teachings) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and in comparison to modern psychological approaches. Although remarkable scientific and material developments have been made in the modern day, people often experience increased psychological tension, anxiety disorders and emotional crises. The therapies of modern psychology offer many approaches including the James Gross process model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and emotional channelization, but most of these approaches lack a spiritual and moral basis. The methodology of this study is qualitative, analytical and comparative, analyzing classical books of Islamic sources and contemporary psychological literature. It points out that the prophetic model confronts emotions by relying on Allah, being patient, reminding oneself of Allah, self-accountability, and handling anger. The findings highlight that the Prophetic and Islamic method not only provides a complete approach to mental health within a sustainable framework but also a spiritual approach that creates a balanced society, filling the gaps of the psychological approaches of the secular world.
